Saturday 9: The Theme from Love Story (1970)

1) The very popular tagline for this movie is, "Love means never having to say you're sorry." Here's your chance to rewrite it. "Love means everything."

2) The movie was famous for a montage of the lovers frolicking in the snow. Do you enjoy sledding, skating, skiing, snowball fights, snowmen, etc.? Or do you just want spring to hurry up and get here?
- Skating.

3) In the movie, Oliver asks his father for $5,000. The money is required for wife Jenny's hospital treatment, but Oliver is too proud to tell his father why he needs it. Adjusted for inflation, $5,000 in 1970 is $30,000 today. How much would you be willing to lend a friend or family member without knowing the reason?
- I don't know. It is just hard to trust anyone nowadays, even you're truest friend can betray you.

4) In the movie, Jenny is the daughter of a baker who owns a little shop in Cranston, Rhode Island. Think of the last baked goods you consumed. Were they home made? Did you buy them from a bakery, the grocery store, or a coffee shop, like Starbucks?
- I bought it in a grocery store.

- I tend not to curse even if I'm mad as hell.

- I feel much younger than my age. Young at heart not by age.

- No.

Valentines Day 2016

I always love this song, it reminds me how wonderful it is to love and to be loved in return. Not everyone has a perfect love story not even fairy tales, not all stories end up with a happy ending. Mines, aren't perfect too, but, worth keeping and worth fight for. As they say, we all have a soulmate, a partner for life, may it be your one true love, family or friends. As we beat the drum this Valentines Day I am wishing everyone a fun-filled celebration and may we continue to share unconditional love to everyone. No bitterness, just happiness.

Saturday 9: Sorry (2015)

1) This song is a plea for a second chance. Are you good at forgiving/forgetting?

- Forgiving. Forgetting is another story. 

2) Justin asks his girl to "forget this." What have you done/said recently that you wish could just be forgotten?
- I just rejected a friend apology for not texting and talking to me for a long time. 

3) Mr. Bieber says he needs just 6 hours sleep every night. How about you? How much sleep do you require to feel sharp?

- I need 8 hours of sleep a day. 

4) Justin prefers D&G underwear, which can cost as much as $102/pair. Sam may be crazy, but there's no way she'd spend that much on underwear. What's something you're willing to splurge on?
- I could spend lavishly if it's a travel abroad with the husband. But, spending money for branded bags, shoes, etc. will just last for years, memories of travelling will last for a lifetime. 

5) He may be picky about underwear but not cuisine. He loves Big Macs. If we were going to McDonald's, what would you order?
- French Fries and Big Mac.

6) When it comes to healthier fare, Bieber has told fans he enjoys snacking on bananas and grapes. What do you reach for between meals?
- Apple.

7) Performing in Germany, Justin Bieber told a girl who approached the stage, "Ich liebe dich” ("I love you") and she fainted. Have you ever fainted?
- Yes. Not because someone said I love you but, because of starving myself.

- They keep on teasing me because of my accent. I came from a province so they kept on mimicking my words.

Love Month

February 4th it is. Everyone is all excited for "Valentines Day". As for me, I will be spending quality time with my husband and we will be preparing a little surprise for my mother-in-laws birthday celebration.
